New year resolutions

As the new year comes we tend to see for what changes to do starting the new year. We start to think what needs mutation. How I wish we had the power of changing at the whims and fancy of our thinking! God alone knows if each of us had this power. Everyone would plan on changing someone and everyone and not including self.
Coming to the subject of resolutions , I have always good at planning and creation of long lists as a resolution. So if I check back on my previous year' , have noticed lists with additions and no deletions. This clearly means it is wish list to be updated once a year with no commitments. This year got serious to do some soul searching and getting little wiser. I said to myself that let me pick one from the list and not create or add anything. So made my life easier and freedom to my mind. I have decided on one item to get better at self improvement.
This depicts that we are always good at planning minus execution. How things would have improved if only we had this reversed !
